Why a focused tool was needed
General drawing applications are flexible, but they do not naturally describe the length, width, material, angles, gaps, and quantities behind a geometric wood composition. Full CAD systems can solve much larger engineering problems, but they often add a learning curve that is disproportionate to pattern work.
WoodMinded occupies the space between them: a measured visual workspace for arranging wood parts and turning the finished composition into workshop information.
What the product is designed to do
The editor works at the finished project size and supports real polygon edges, controlled snapping, symmetry, alignment, grouping, material planning, metric and imperial measurements, and structured cut-list exports.
The goal is not to replace every tool in a workshop. WoodMinded does not currently create CNC toolpaths or optimize parts across stock boards. Its job is to make the pattern and its required parts understandable before production begins.
- Keep visual design and measured geometry together.
- Make repeated and mirrored structures deliberate.
- Describe matching parts consistently.
- Be explicit about capabilities and limitations.
Who operates WoodMinded
WoodMinded Designer is operated by ELIORA ApS in Denmark. Account, privacy, billing, and contact information is published openly through the legal and contact pages.
Product feedback is welcome, especially when it includes the pattern type, intended workflow, and the production information that would make the plan more useful at the bench.
