Length and quantity are not enough when a design contains mirrored miters, several species, or intentional gaps. Each part type needs a clear relationship to the visual pattern.

- Quantity of equivalent pieces
- Part number for the workshop view
Why the list should come from the design
Manual counting is vulnerable to late design changes. If a mirrored section is moved, a material is replaced, or the board size changes, a separate spreadsheet can become outdated without looking wrong.
